The Comprehensive Guide to AniTier

AniTier makes it really easy to create anime tier lists with your favorite shows and characters. This page serves as a comprehensive guide to help you navigate the various features and functionalities of AniTier, from top to bottom.

Search Modes

AniTier offers 2 main search modes.

• General Search: Browse all anime from the database. In this mode you can infinitely scroll down till my site breaks under load (not tested).
• Personalized Search: Use your AniList account to only get the anime or the characters you've once added to your personal list.

Filters

Filters are AniTier's bread and butter. They're what make AniTier so special. They're versatile tool that play off of each other letting you refine the things you want to rank.

You can choose to rank characters. In that case, 2 new fields will appear: Role and Gender.

Now, let's go over them some useful combinations, shall we?

Seasonal Chart

Inputting the year and season alone will get you seasonal rundown up and running.

Ranking The Best

Sorting by the highest score will get you the anime that hold the number one spots in AniList.

2000+ Waifu Tier List*

For this, click on Personalized tab and enter your AniList username (required). After that choose Character on the select button. Next is up to you. Pick Status, Role and Gender. Congratz, you're now ready to sunk hours contemplating where to place XYZ character, and that's honestly admirable.

* I call this 2000+ tier list, but the number will depend on the filters you set and the amount of anime you've added to your AniList.

These were just a couple of suggestions where to start. But the possibilities are enormous! Mix and match the filters to get the most out of them. Create a ranking you're most interested in.

Tier List Customization

Presets

You have a choice between 2 tier list presets.

1. Classic Tier List: This includes S, A, B, C, D ranks as well as a dummy tier.
2. Extended Character Ranking Tier List: This was designed to give you a range of options ranking characters. Although it's subject to change, right now it includes ranks such as:
   • Put A Ring On It
   • Cool & Badass
   • Friendzoned
   • Better Than Expected
   • Disappointing
   • Burn It With Fire, etc.

Image Size

Control image size with a slider. Setting the image to its minimum, lets you save twice as much space.

Note: image size affects the image you get from downloading the tier list. Make sure to max out the image size if you want the best quality possible.

Tier Management

Side Panel

Hover over a tier, and you'll get the side panel.

Here you can:

1. Delete this tier
2. Clear all images from this tier
3. Pick a color

Rename

Renaming is really easy! Just click on the tier name and start typing.

Drag & Drop

Drag & Drop is really helpful tool to set the tier list the way you want it. To do that, click and hold ↑↓ on the tier's label and move it up or down.

Right Clicking on an Image

You can right-click on an image to see the info panel. It'll show you the name of the anime or character along with other details in case you don't recognize or remember them.

The Ones On The Left

Yes, I couldn't find better name for this section. Anyway, here's what these buttons do:

• Clear All: Removes all images from the current view
• Clear Unranked: Removes all unranked images from below
• Add Tier: Adds a new tier below the last one

Save & Load

Having hard time ranking 2000 characters all at once? Use save button! Because saving your progress is important! You can now refresh the page, close and reopen the browser, or even shut down your computer and your save will still be there. But be careful, you get only one save slot and there's no automatic saves. Every new save overwrites the previous one.

Saves are stored on your local computer. If you clear your browser data, you'll lose your save.

Download & Share

Download button will generate an image of your tier list which you can easily share anywhere. Twitter button is there just for a quick access. (wink wink nudge nudge)

The Pin

Pin button is very important and I strongly encourage its use. It's really helpful when you have a long list of images and you don't want to be scrolling back and forth.

Stats Panel

The stats panel show you exactly how many images there're in total, how many you've already ranked, and how many are left to go. It's really helpful for keeping track of your progress and clickbaiting people with "Ranking 2000 characters" video title.
