How to Use AniTier

AniTier makes it easy to create anime tier lists with your favorite shows and characters. Click on any section below to learn more about specific features.

Getting Started

The AniTier interface has two main modes:

General: Browse all anime from the database

Personalized: Use your AniList account to only see anime you've watched

Step 1:

Click on the "Personalized" tab

Step 2:

Enter your AniList username in the search field

Step 3:

Click "Submit" to load your anime list

Using Filters

Use the filter sidebar to narrow down your anime selection:

Genre: Select specific genres like Action, Romance, Comedy

Year: Filter by release year or year range

Season: Choose Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter

Format: TV series, Movies, OVAs, etc.

Sort your results by:

Popularity (most popular first)

Release date (newest first)

Rating (highest rated first)

Alphabetical order

Creating Your Tier List

Step 1:

Browse or search for anime using the filters

Step 2:

Drag the anime card from the results

Step 3:

Drop it into your desired tier (S, A, B, C, D)

You can customize tier names to fit your ranking system:

Step 1:

Click on the tier label (S, A, B, C, D)

Step 2:

Type your custom name (e.g., "Masterpiece", "Great", "Good")

Step 3:

Press Enter or click outside to save

Customize the appearance of your tiers:

Step 1:

Hover over a tier to reveal the controls

Step 2:

Click on the "Color picker" option

Step 3:

Select your preferred color

Managing Tiers

Need more ranking levels? Add additional tiers:

Step 1:

Scroll to the bottom of your tier list

Step 2:

Click "Add a new tier"

Step 3:

The new tier will appear at the bottom

Remove unwanted tiers from your list:

Step 1:

Hover over the tier you want to delete

Step 2:

Click "Delete this tier" button

Step 3:

The tier and all its content will be removed
